Breaking News: I’m a producer now

It’s been an interesting 2019. I completely tore my right knee ACL during a ski accident in April. Of course it was the very last day of the ski season and I just had to get a few more runs in before the season closed.  

I may have been texting while in the ski patrol sled. Lots of coordination needs to happen if you can’t drive yourself back down the canyon.

I thought this would be devastating and would slow me down in every way possible. But, breaking my ACL turned out to be a true blessing in disguise. And…if anything, propelled all my career ambitions forward in the best way possible.

I’m a professional dating coach specializing in women over 35. Yes, that’s a real job. Yes, I am kinda like Hitch.

I’ve coached over 200 clients one-on-one over the last many years. Many, many of those clients are now happily married and have beautiful babies. This is a thrill to me personally and professionally. I still pinch myself every day that this is my real job. It’s an honor to be trusted to help people in this way.

My only regret is that my time is limited because I have a life and family who want my attention. I’ve never been able to help everyone I’ve wanted to. Also…not everyone can afford to have one-on-one coaching or has the time to meet during the hours I have available.

For this reason, I’ve been wanting to take all my best material and dating techniques to put it in an eCourse format so I could offer it to people who can’t do one-on-one coaching. I really wanted to have that as an option to offer. But, it turns out that producing an eCourse takes a lot of time organizing and planning. It involves learning how to do things that I don’t know how to do.

Well, thanks to the ACL ski accident earlier this year, I had a lot of time to sit around. Months of time. So…I sat around and organized my material. The same material I’ve presented at live workshops and retreats. The same material that puts all my successful clients on the path to marriage. As I hobbled around my home, I planned how I would present this material in an eCourse format.

As I was hobbling around, I took some really scary steps, like hiring a videographer (EndGrainStudios) and business coach who showed me the ropes of eCourse creation. I seriously knew nothing about doing a project like this.

Producing this eCourse took basically all my free professional time (when not with clients) and some of my family time too (sorry kids). But I am happy to announce that it is COMPLETE!

I even hired a Brand Photographer Heather Waegner, to take some photos behind the scenes on shooting days. These photos have become very meaningful in the way of being able to communicate and illustrate what I am doing, who I am as a coach and what my goals are with clients.

When it comes to finishing this eCourse production, I owe a special thanks to Steve Sokol for marrying me 15 years ago. And thanks to Steve for believing I could do this and supporting me in spending thousands of dollars to get it done.

Thanks to the many friends over the years (you know who you are) who let me push them into online dating and allowing me to do all my R&D. I hope that pushiness is about to pay off big-time for their friends who are single and want to be married.
